Glossary

Child

  • A customer entity that exists under a Reseller in the hierarchy. This term is interchangeable with SubCustomer.

Company

  • The name used to refer to a customer within the Atria platform.

Customer

  • An entity within the Atria portal representing a client or organization that consumes services managed by the platform.

Managed Service Provider (MSP)

  • A third-party company that remotely manages a customer's IT infrastructure and/or end-user systems, typically on a proactive basis and under a subscription model.
    • In Atria, MSPs utilize the platform to efficiently manage user accounts, set up services, and allocate resources across multiple customers.

Objects

  • Entities within the platform, such as users, contacts, customers and services. Objects are organized hierarchically, and dependencies between them can restrict deletion or modification.

Provisioning

  • An action performed in Atria which kicks off the Atria Provisioning Engine. The provisioning engine executes activities such as:
    • assigning resources
    • creating users
    • and executing scripts.

SubCustomer

  • A customer entity that resides under a Reseller. The Service Provider is the primary Reseller, with SubCustomers representing its clients.

Tenant

  • An organizational unit within a Multi-Tenant Active Directory (AD) where multiple independent organizations share the same AD infrastructure while remaining isolated from each other.
