Hosted Exchange Provisioning and Usage
Overview
This article provides a guide to provisioning the Hosted Exchange Service within the Atria Platform. Ensure that you have configured your Exchange environment and deployed the service via the deployment guide.
Provision the Hosted Exchange Service
1. Provision the Hosted Exchange Service to Resellers

From the Atria menu bar, click Customers and select the top level (Service Provider) customer.

Under Customer Functions, select Services:

From the services list, select Reseller for the desired location.

Tick the Hosted Exchange checkbox and expand the window:

In the User Plan and Customer Plan tables, select any user and customer plans that you want to deploy to this location.

Under Resource Configuration, enter the maximum storage space for mailboxes and public folders.

Click Apply Changes.

Click Provision to enable the service.

2. Provision the Hosted Exchange Service to Customers

From the Atria menu bar, click Customers > Customer Services.

Use Customer Search to find the customer.

Select Hosted Exchange from the services list.

In Customer Plan, choose the package for the customer.

Under Exchange Domains, select the inbound email routing type.

Under Email Patterns, choose one of the following:
- Force customer-wide primary address
- Manage individual user email addresses

Choose the Primary Email format
-
Configure Public Folders, if applicable.

Set Mailbox Storage under Resource Configuration.

Restrict user assignments under Advanced Settings if needed.

Enable Billing to generate charges.

Click Provision.

Manage Public Folders
To create a public folder
- Go to Services > Exchange > Public Folders.
- Select the root public folder.
- On the Folders tab, enter the new public folder name.
- Click Create.
To rename a public folder
- Navigate to Services > Exchange > Public Folders.
- Select the public folder to rename.
- In the Folders tab, enter the new name.
- Click Rename.
To enable a public folder for email
- Go to Services > Exchange > Public Folders.
- Select the public folder.
- On the Mail tab, click Enable Mail.
- Click Add, enter the email alias, and select the domain.
- Click Update, then Save Emails.
Manage Exchange Contacts
To add new contacts
- Navigate to Services > Exchange > Contacts.
- Click New Contact.
- Enter contact details.
- Click Save.
To hide contacts from the Global Address List
- Open Services > Exchange > Contacts.
- Select the contact.
- Check Hide From Address List.
- Click Save.
Manage Exchange Distribution Groups
To create a distribution group
- Go to Services > Exchange > Distribution Groups.
- Enter a name for the group.
- Ensure Distribution is selected.
- Click New Group and then Save.
To add members to a distribution group
- Navigate to Services > Exchange > Distribution Groups.
- Select the group.
- Click the Members tab.
- Search for and add members.
- Click Save.
To create an email alias for a distribution group
- Select a group under Services > Exchange > Distribution Groups.
- Click the Email tab.
- Click Add, enter the alias, and click Update.
- Click Save.
Import and Export Exchange Mailbox Files
To export a mailbox
- Go to Services > Exchange > Mailbox Import/Export.
- Click Export Mailboxes.
- Select the mailboxes to export and click Export.
To import a mailbox
- Navigate to Services > Exchange > Mailbox Import/Export.
- Click Import Mailboxes.
- Select the user and mailbox file.
- Click Import Mailboxes.
Migrate Exchange Customers and Users to the Next Version
Steps to migrate:
- Configure Service Settings.
- Create New User Plans.
- Enable User Plans at Reseller Level.
- Re-Provision Customer Services.
- Move users to new User Plans.
To move users to new User Plans
- Open Configuration > Provisioning & Debug Tools > Package Migration Wizard.
- Select the Hosted Exchange Service.
- Map old plans to new plans.
- Select customers for migration.
- Click Finish.
