File Sharing Service

Overview

The File Sharing Service provides secure cloud-based file sharing. Providers can host multiple customer file shares, with strict security permissions limiting access to designated folders.

Once setup, customers can:

  • Store and transfer files within their organization.
  • Create and manage directory subfolders.
  • Assign user permissions to folders.

Users can access their file shares through integrations like Citrix XenApp sessions.

No Web Service Installation Required

The service does not require any web service installation on the file server, simplifying your Atria configuration.

Key Capabilities

  • Centralized cloud file storage and sharing.
  • Robust and customizable security permissions.
  • Optional automatic creation of file share paths.
  • Seamless integration with existing Citrix environments.

Deployment Process

Deploying the service generally involves:

  1. Creating or connecting to an existing file share path.
  2. Configuring the service via the Atria control panel.
  3. Provisioning the service to resellers or customers.

Active Directory Changes

Provisioning the service creates the following Active Directory groups:

  • SERVICEADMINS<CustomerShortName> FSS: Includes Full Service Admin users.
  • FSS<CustomerShortName> FULL: Users provisioned with file share access.
  • FSS<CustomerShortName> NONE: Users without provisioned access.

Users provisioned with access automatically join the FSS<CustomerShortName> FULL group.
