Deprovisioning Microsoft Online Services from a Customer
Overview
This article provides a guide to deprovisioning Microsoft Online Services from a Customer. Microsoft Online works differently to other services, as it assumes that the AzureAD and users will continue working after they have been removed from the platform.
The changes in this mean that when you deprovision the customer service, you will have all of the users "Removed" but not run through the individual user deprovisioning process, leaving them intact.
When removing the AzureAD service - It will suspend ALL customer licenses provided by your Partner Center - this is due to the fact that it understands that you are likely moving away as their CSP.
If you want to remove a customer without removing the licenses - Please contact our support: support@getatria.com.
Deprovisioning Steps
- Locate the customer you’d like to deprovision.
- Deprovision the Microsoft online service from the customer.
- When completed, deprovision the AzureAD service from the customer.
This process will:
- Remove the association with the Azure AD tenant from Atria.
- For direct providers, all Microsoft subscriptions associated with the tenant will be suspended removing any continued financial obligation.
- If the "Remove from partner Center" option is ticked under the AzureAD Customer Plan - This will also remove your Partner delegation rights to the tenant if enabled.
What Steps need to be taken if the Partner Center Connection has already been revoked?
When you expand the Microsoft Online or Azure AD Service, you will be prompted with a "delete" button (As shown below). This will delete the relevant information straight from the database without carrying out the deprovisioning process.
